Mental Health Awareness Week is the biggest annual mental health campaign in the UK and this year it runs from 11–17 May 2026. The theme for 2026 is about taking action; not just talking about mental health but doing small things that help you and the people around you feel supported too.

This week is a chance for all of us - students, teachers and families - to think about what helps our wellbeing and try simple actions that make a positive difference. That’s anything from being kind to someone, trying a short mindfulness activity, talking with a friend about how you’re feeling, or noticing what helps you feel calmer when life gets stressful.

To support this, we’ve created a wellbeing site designed as a calm space for your school community. You’ll find tips and guidance for students, with additional areas for staff and parents, places to ask for support and ideas on how to bring more positivity into school life. We’ve also included links to trusted organisations that offer further advice and help where needed.
Mental Health Awareness Week is about action as well as knowledge. Even small steps such as showing kindness, taking a mindful minute, reaching out to someone, or joining in a wellbeing activity, can make a real difference to your day and help build a healthier, kinder school community.

Our site is designed as a calm, flexible space where everyone can explore activities and resources and as always, it’s easy to update to fit with what your school already does. Request the site today, try some of the ideas and bring these calming practices into your school community.
