Stream live theatre directly into your classroom for free

National Theatre's On Demand. In Schools is a free service for schools in the UK which is powered by Frog technology.

Over 3000 schools (to date) have registered to use the free service which enables schools to stream critically acclaimed National Theatre productions including; Frankenstein, Treaure Island, Othello, She Stoops and Conquers, The Comedy of Errors and Hamlet directly into the classroom.

Each production includes a rich selection learning resources prepared in consultation with teachers to accompany the play to aid discussion and learning.

“The production brought the story to life. I definitely enjoyed reading Frankenstein way more than the others because I could see what it was like. I also think it made me look at the characters in a different way that I did not before.” Student from Bentley Wood High School

Sam Sedgman from the National Theatre tells you more about the service in this short video which was recorded live at Bett 2017.

Easy to access

The National Theatre On Demand. In Schools service is fully online, free to use for UK teachers and available on demand. No special software is required to watch the streams, and streams can be viewed on multiple devices.

“The On Demand service allows me not to worry about resources as everything is in one place. The video quality is immense and the resources alongside the video are perfect for our students. It saved me time trying to source videos of performances.”  Head of Drama, Greenshaw High School, Sutton
