# Safer Internet Day with Frog: Smart Tech, Safe Choices
Every click, swipe, and post has an impact - helping students understand that impact isn’t always easy. Safer Internet Day is just around the corner, and we’re excited to share a new site designed to help teachers guide students through this year’s theme**:** “Smart Tech, Safe Choices Online.”
Our site has been created with practicality in mind, providing teachers with ready-to-use tools to explore how technology shapes our everyday lives today - for better and for worse.
The site tackles issues that can affect young people everywhere and are starting to feature more in classroom conversations, including:
**Fake news and misinformation**
Helping students understand how information
spreads online and how to verify what they see.
**AI and emerging technologies**
Exploring the benefits of AI while considering ethical
implications and potential risks.
**Responsible decision-making online**
Equipping students to make safe, informed choices
when using digital tools.
Teachers will find a variety of quick, practical ideas, discussion starters and activities that can be easily adapted to suit different classes that help reinforce critical thinking, empathy and responsibility. If you want to tweak scenarios or add your own discussion prompts, the site is fully editable to meet your needs.
Safer Internet Day provides the perfect opportunity to begin conversations about technology, build safer digital literacy skills and nurture students’ confidence in navigating online spaces responsibly. With this resource, you’ll have the tools to initiate meaningful discussions to support students ensuring they make smart, safe choices in the growing digital world.
